A meal at Pollen is always memorable, thanks to the French-Mediterranean restaurant’s unique setting inside the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay. However, the dining experience is about to get an exciting new twist, thanks to a tasting menu dreamt up by executive chef Steve Allen. Developed to celebrate Pollen’s fifth anniversary, the five-course menu is themed around five “stories” that showcase the restaurant’s – and by extension, Chef Allen’s – journey through the years.
For instance, Pollen’s Garden, a starter comprising 16 seasonable vegetables and herbs, pays homage to the restaurant’s lush environs. In the same vein, Beef Cheek “Tea” is a fusion dish inspired by the traditional English recipe of boiled beef and carrots, as well being a nod to Chef Allen’s fondness for Malaysian-style bak kut teh (slow-cooked pork ribs in a flavourful broth).
The dinner menu will be served from 17 to 21 Aug, and is priced at S$155++ per person (inclusive of beverages). Also available is a three-course lunch menu (S$75++ per person, with beverages). Find out more at pollen.com.sg.
